It can sometimes be difficult to find the time to create your vision board. You know, taking out all your craft supplies, old magazines that you kept just in case you ever wanted to do this, and the glue sticks. What if I told you there was a quicker way to create a digital one that works great too?
I love the paper vision board like the next girl, but sometimes you're just short on time. This is nice and quick, yet it gets the job done. Let's create a vision board on Pinterest and then I'll show you how to make a wallpaper vision board to put on your phone's lockscreen.
Paper Vision boards Are Great, But So Are Digital Ones!
In this post I'm going to walk you through how you can create your very own vision board on Pinterest. Stick with me through till the end of the post and I'll also show you a step-by-step way you can create your own wallpaper vision board for your phone so that you can always have your vision board with you to inspire you where ever you go.
1. Open Up A Secret Pinterest Board
To create a secret board, all you have to do is open your Pinterest page. You'll see a plus sign on the right hand side and then click "board" in the popdown.
Be sure to name your vision board an awesome name and click for it to be a secret board, if you want. Then no one will see it. Of course you can leave it public if you want. It's up to you. :)
Click "Create" and then you can start saving images from Pinterest into your secret Pinterest board.
P.S. Something else I like doing on my Vision Board in Pinterest is I like to edit the picture "note to self." You can do this too if you like. I like to put a positive affirmation with it.
To do this, just click on the pen tool at the right bottom side.
And then you can add your "note to self"
2. After You've Created Your Vision Board
Whenever you sit down to look over your vision board, start visualizing your life looking like that. Do you see yourself getting in shape? Don't see yourself as out of shape. Start by seeing yourself as in shape and that as your goal. This will encourage you when moving forward. Make sure you visualize what you want. If you want more on visualizing the future you want, I definitely recommend the book The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod.
Visualization, also known as creative visualization or mental rehearsal, refers to the practice of seeking to generate positive results in your outer world by using your imagination to create mental pictures of specific behaviors and outcomes occurring in your life. - Hal Elrod from The Miracle Morning
Create A Vision-board Wallpaper For Your Phone
I started doing this earlier this year. Many of you will know how much I love Canva, so I'm going to show you how you can use Canva to create a Vision-board wallpaper for your phone.
1. Get Into Canva
Type "Phone Wallpaper" into the Canva search bar and then pick the "Create Blank Phone Wallpaper"
2. Click Elements On The Left Hand Bar
And then you can scroll down until you find grids. Pick the grid you like the most. Inside each rectangle or square in the grid is where you'll place your vision board images.
3. Upload Your Vision-board Images
Just as a Public Service Announcement when it comes to copyright, you can't post other people's pictures online without permission. So If you'd like to share this online make sure you use stock images from Unsplash (What I love about Unsplash is they are free and have gorgeous pics) or another stock photo site for your Wallpaper Vision Board.
4. Once You've Placed Your Images Be Sure To Download Your Vision Board
Now you can save it as a wallpaper on your phone. Save the picture in your photo app.
For iPhones: Click settings > Scroll to click on Wallpaper > Then click your lock screen and upload your vision board as a lock screen wallpaper.
